Dr. David Zandvliet is a Professor in the Faculty of Education at Simon Fraser University and Director of the Institute for Environmental Learning. His research focuses on learning environments, science and environmental education, and place-based learning. He holds the UNESCO Chair in Biocultural Diversity and Education and has led numerous international and community-based initiatives that promote sustainability and culturally responsive education.

Dr. Poh Tan is a stem cell biologist, science educator, and advocate for equitable science education. As a double doctorate from Simon Fraser University and the University of British Columbia, her interdisciplinary research and background in science and education, bridges Western and Indigenous ways of knowing, particularly in science and environmental learning. Dr. Tan is also a published scholar and public science communicator, with experience in STEM/STEAM education and community-engaged research.
